Second Post from Bob Morans.

The Vendetta continues.

A further twist has arisen in the presidents vendetta against myself and the renewal of the contract, which is due on the 1st of January.

The minutes of the meeting of the committee in open forum held in the bar, -with a fairly good attendance for this time of year- have been published on the presidents blog;

Everything that was discussed is in the report, apart from the business about the bar. Is this an oversight by the new secretary Kate Ellerton, or a blatant piece of suppression?

For the benefit of the residents who did not attend, Spodge's lodge was discussed and it was decided that it was not a decision to be taken by the committee but a residents matter and would be decided at the A.G.M., but lo and behold the president confronts Splodge, barely a week after and -pointing a finger at him- informs him that he must leave his home by the end of the month.

She obviously has no regard for the wishes of the residents, or her own committee because when I asked them about the matter they had no knowledge about it. The president stated that it was not her doing but she was acting on the advise of her solicitor.

Several people have told me that she intends to not renew my contract and will lock me out on the 1st of January, this is obviously her final throw of the dice. Her reason is that I do not have the Licence de Apetura. I have an application lodged in the town hall with the architects survey which cost 1,200€ plus the payment to the town hall of 970€.

It seems that she is taking the advise of her solicitor that the licence will not be granted if the application is over 6 months old, however I instructed my solicitor to go, in person, to the town hall, and he informed me that the application is still valid and is still going through due process.

Her solicitor is the same person who advised her to increase the rent by 110% in the middle of the recession and obviously oblivious to the different circumstances of Mi Sol to other bar rents. This same solicitor looked at my insurance policy for the bar and told me I had no cover for civil responsibility when it is plainly there to see, I am covered for 300,000€ on 2 counts, plus a cover of 80,000€ per person.

I hope that this stupid vendetta ceases but if it doesn't I will fight her all the way because this is my livelihood she is messing with.

I know from the response I have received up to now that I have the backing of the vast majority of residents and it is only a small faction within Mi Sol that is backing the president.

It is time she started listening to the majority, and I also ask the committee to stand up and be counted.

Bob Morans.
