Wow.
I am trying to understand what is driving her. I don't feel comfortable criticising our volunteers, but she is doing no service to the community by interfering with something that is just not broken. It is hard to find someone who is prepared to be President of Mi Sol. It is a totally thankless task. I found that out when I served the community on the committee. The first qualification is an owner who is willing to step up to the task. I wish I could understand why she wants to damage the bar and drive away someone else who is equally hard to find. Someone like Bob and Maggie who in return for hard honest work have made a successful business out of the bar where historically everybody else has failed.

There are many issues that the president of Misol should be addressing. Collection of revenue from delinquent members being number one. This is the life blood of the community. It is my understanding that she has made inroads to this problem on our behalf, and we should acknowledge her efforts with this. The president needs to bring the community together to all pull in the same direction. With the Bar Issue, This president seems to be the tail wagging the dog! In fact there is no Bar issue for Mi Sol. Why waste energy and cause confrontation in areas that don't require it. There is plenty that needs to be focused on for the good of our community.

I have experienced times when Mi sol has turned its guns inwardly on itself and it is destructive and leaves our community vulnerable. It has to stop. The president has to represent the interest of the whole community, You can only do that if you listen to the community. The constitution or statutes facilitate this by the AGM. That is when the president makes a report to the community of the progress made on instruction of the previous AGM. The report then goes out to open debate, votes are taken, and the AGM instructs the president on what policies need to be followed for the next 12 months

That is what should happen. I am worried that what I am hearing is the presidents conduct and opinions are counter to the opinions of those she represents. If she refuses to listen to the people she is supposed to be serving then she is going to find herself guilty of desertion of her duty to the community. If she acts against instruction of an AGM, then she could become personally liable. This is a democracy. If she was the sole owner of Misol it would be different. If this is what she wants she could go and buy Florentilles. And run it how she pleases. As a democracy she has to represent us, She can make recommendations to the AGM based on advice our lawyers and administrators give her, but the AGM has to be listened to and the president must follow the instructions of the AGM. If the president disagrees or finds the instruction unacceptable, then they can step down in place of someone willing to serve the AGM.

What I am hearing, is that she appears to be trying to facilitate an agenda to remove Bob and Maggie from the bar. I don't understand this.It makes no sense to me. She is certainly not representing my wishes, so who is she representing? Honestly It's like a road runner and Wiley coyote cartoon. She tries one stupid thing and it fails then she comes back with something else. Totally relentless and each attempt more and more ridiculous than the last! This month "Splodge Lodge" what will it be in the new year? an "ACME" ducking stool at the deep end perhaps!!
