2010-05-17-Chris's 50th Birthday Gathering

Hi Misolites,

Sorry for the long delay in starting up the blog again, no excuses, just plain laziness. I seem to be in "A can't be bothered Mood".....Anyway, the main news seems to be that PACO our old wannabe president is now a bona-fides member of the committee!!! What can I say? Did the community get a choice in this matter? I think not.

The park is looking quite scruffy again, the gardener's car is out of action and there seems to be bags and debris all over the place. Presumably our new committee member will be taking control of the gardener as he did before, but hey who knows....

The swimming pool is filling up (however slowly,) and will probably be open for business later this week ... ..yippee .....just wait for it to warm up a bit before you jump in!!!

The wall surrounding the waste land at the back of the rest home on Park Naciones Urb. has been completed. It is quite a good looking wall, no-one has any information on what is going to be done within it's perimeters.

The wall around the outside of Mi-Sol Park at the front started to disintegrate with pieces of paint etc flaking off and making the wall art look a complete mess. The children started picking at it and it was getting worse and worse. Then, out of nowhere the Graffiti Artists appeared..(there seemed to be more than could be counted) and within half a day..bang bong buck...there was a brand new mural..I am trying to take some pictures, but the sun was in my eyes (ahhhh)....shut up...taking the P.

One of our guest Mi-Solites has been over with a medley of her friends (her sister's 50th) anything for a gathering of the clans. A real good night at Shady's and then back to Mi-Sol Bar....a few banging heads the next day (a small price to pay…nowt is free these days), but overall everyone in fine fettle. Sunday lunch here and there, the jam session at Shady's and to round it all off....Lynn's 5 cent quiz. (The best quiz on the Costas)

The ash cloud has affected several of the flights due out today, but seems to be more on the delayed front then the cancelled....once again....ahhhhh. That was for them not me.

A certain Misolite was nearly caught out in a really compromising position last week. She had washed and hung her dressing gown out to dry in her back garden early one morning. Off she went on her day out with friends to the beach, bar and shops. She returned home in the early evening and decided to go and have a nice long shower, cup of tea and watch a bit of telly. Into the bedroom she went stripped off, reached for her dressing gown...oh flip...it's still on the line! she tiptoed to the conservatory, looked around...all clear...no-one about....she was off...running quickly to the washing line, she snatched the dressing gown and ran back into the conservatory......Yep, you guessed it....the door had slammed shut....no way in....front door locked and bolted (Very security conscious this lady....that will teach her)....what to do now?? As luck would have it a new neighbour had just appeared on the landscape.....I am not going to describe him as it would give the game away, but his nickname is "The Hoff"..he was quickly commandeered into helping and found a window around the front and managed to get into the house in order to preserve the lady's modesty. The moral of the story is that you should always get your washing in first instead of thinking of your own comforts.
As I've Matured...
I've learned that whatever hits the fan will not be evenly distributed. (see paragraph one)
Be very careful where you chop down trees.!!!!

I will try and write some more soon, although there is not a lot happening .
take care mes amigos xxxxx
