2010-05-23-Birthday Girl

Hi Misolites 23-05-2010

Saturday Night and the bar's ahumming...who's that I see sat over there with her friends? It's the birthday girl...21 again, it keeps coming around so damn fast it nearly knocks you over. I saw a great sign on a T-Shirt.... it said "I am not 60...I am 21 with 39 years of experience." I think we can all relate to that. Soooo, back to the birthday girl, after she had quaffed all the champers ('courtesy of "the boyfriend') watched as the same fella serenaded her from the karaoke.....had a bit of a giggle with her mates...what did she do..? Well, I really couldn't comment. You must use your own imagination.....but nothing too gory or you won't sleep tonight.

Welcome back to two long lost friends....they returned with their grand-daughter after gallivanting around two countries. The bar takings should go up in the near future. Nice to have you back.

I have managed to coerce my other half into taking some photos, and there is good news and bad news. I have added more photos of the wall art to the slide-show.

The good news is I have photos of the wall going around the waste land at the back of the rest home on Park Naciónes.

it is looking good, bets on how long it will take the graffiti artists to attack it.

Second piece of good news:.....the committee member who was NOT elected has been busy painting the walls at the entrance to the Park.

Again, looking good.

THIRD piece of good news........aren't you lucky little misolites......
The same unelected committee member has laid membrane and white stones on the area to your left as you enter Mi-Sol Park and it looks great. See below

Now, soooorrrrreeee the bad news.

The lorry which delivered the stones for use at the bottom of the site managed to put one of the lorry's support feet right through the tarmac leaving a hole in the road (all together...so big and sorta round......that's enough). This is quite dangerous and will have to be dealt with asap by the committee (if they are not too busy erecting unwanted fences.)

These are four pictures of the same hole...fooled you there didn't I??

Second piece of bad news:

The gardener has laid stones on one of the access points at the bottom of the site, but...no membrane and he has laid the stones over the existing weeds, so really a bit of a waste of time and money.

looks much better---but won't last

The Senility Prayer

Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,
The good fortune to run into the ones I do like, and
The eyesight to tell the difference

Adios for now my little Misolites,
xxxxxxxxxx
