How is the credit crunch affecting you?.....Here in sunny Spain, St. James’s Gate have reduced the prices of their meals by half!!!!! It is all buy 1 get 1 free. They also have a happy hour for the drinkers in our mist. Of course, in Shady’s bar every hour is a happy hour because of mine hosts. There is a bit of gentle rivalry going on I think, but at least the customer benefits.
There was a Tribute to Rod Stewart on last night which quite a few misolites went to see.
Two misolites in particular were up there dancing with the best of them. I had to tell several misolites off for enjoying themselves too much. I said “come on, you are going to give Mi-Sol a bad name, they will think that we all act like you lot, and you know it isn’t true” But did they take any notice of me? No, they did not, so watch this space, it will be sure to come back and bite them in their old age!!!
JM was on with his karaoke machine at Mi-Sol Bar…..I don’t think I want to talk about that in any depth. The usual suspects were in the bar, drinking and carousing, “will they never learn” I ask myself. All this merrymaking cannot be a good thing in the long run.
There was an altercation in the bar over….wait for it…..dog s**t. the lady that brought it up should not have done so in the bar where most of the company had been drinking.
(Lecture time) Drink and confrontation do not go well, and it did not go well last night, things were said in the heat of the moment, which can be retracted but never forgotten.
I hope the people involved in all this can resolve it and move on.
We have several misolites leaving for England in the near future, one in particular is going into hospital, she has a dolly named Woody or O for short. So, good luck and speedy recovery, we will all be thinking of you..
Scaredy cat is also going over for a while, is it getting to hot in Spain? (I don’t mean the weather) all will be revealed, it is not possible to keep secrets on Mi-Sol, I have many spies, and if they don’t find out the reason, I shall make one up!!!!
We have had a volunteer to paint numbers on the lamp-posts. (Use your imagination, why do you think we need numbers on the lamp-posts) no prizes for the correct answer.
This very kind gentleman reported his intentions to a certain committee member, who got hold of the wrong end of the brush?? Sorry, stick, and gave his President and myself the name of a long ago Misolite!!!!...Confusion reigned for a while but now all has become clear.
Another volunteer has repaired the manhole cover outside the pool pump house, he has done this without any payment…yayyyy.
Also the electric, which was supplying hot water in one of shower blocks has been cut off. At an AGM many years ago it was voted that all shower blocks were closed down.
Mi-Sol Park have left several facilities open for those without toilets etc, but we are not obliged to supply hot water. Again, this work was done by a Misolite without payment.
The man with the strimmer is working away and doing an extremely good job, the whole of Mi-Sol park is looking well kept and in good condition. If we could only get a certain Spaniard to lay down his weapons and stop fighting us things would progress at a great rate. As it is our President has to be careful and make sure we always have enough assets to pay the many bills this dispute produces.
Still the sun is still shining, we are living in a lovely place, and we would be bored with no-one to fight with (only joking)...
waiting for more gossip, although no-one tells me anything.
