Hi Misolites 2008-06-11
I am back on sunny Mi-Sol once again, I will try and see what has been happening in this "quiet" backwater and give you any juicy details ASAP.
The first thing to say is the bar is once again open, looking a bit tatty, but, hey, at least Bob is there serving drinks with his usual happy smiley face and we have somewhere to go to watch the world go by.
A new projector has been supplied by Bob so all sport can now be watched on a big screen.
The pool has had its concrete floor put in (see new photos) and I believe they have to wait a while for the concrete to completely dry out before they start the tiling,......so we will have to wait and see.
There are a few flying beetles winging there way around Mi-Sol at the moment....I have been told they are called Kamikaze Beetles, as their eyesight is so poor they keep crashing into things.
A certain guest Misolite was seen with a pool skimmer; he was stood in a large pool on his terrace, and was systematically hurling these beetles onto the wall next door. The beetles were hitting the wall, dropping and then getting back up, they were dazed and confused (but not for long) and then once again, they dive-bombed the said misolite who had to repeatedly knock them back against the wall next door.....and so the circle of life continues...... Where was the lady of the house whilst all this was happening?....Well she was also in the pool, arms and legs akimbo, screaming and of no use to her poor husband what so ever. The baby was stood on the patio, utterly bemused, shaking her head and thinking "What on earth have I done to deserve such parents, and what on earth are they doing!!!!".....I doubt she will ever get an answer!!!
She, who had been confined to a wheelchair, has had her pot removed from her leg and is back in circulation. Let's hope the leg follows suit. Unfortunately the leg may take longer. There are many many more obstacles to get in the way of this misolite, so she had better watch her step.
There is a new boot sale venue in the area. Rancho de Padi (opposite St. James's Gate) is holding a boot sale every Sunday morning for the foreseeable future or until they get shut down....whichever comes first.
The ladies doing the same thing in Shady's Bar on a Sunday & Monday morning are still there raising money for the pet’s charity.
More news in the near future
Keep the flag flying for Mi-Sol
