Hi Misolites, 2008-04-21
Here we go again, another sh**ty day in Paradise. The sun is shining and everything seems well.
Shady had a GLAM ROCK NIGHT on Saturday which was a complete success. We couldn’t even get into the main room. That didn’t stop us from enjoying ourselves tho’. A Misolite from the top of the site was with us, but decided to stay on when most of us left. The next news we received was that she is in hospital after tripping down her own step!!! We have since heard that this Misolite is doing well. She should be home in a few days.
The Secretary at no 438 is collecting donations to help “The one who is going to be limping” if anyone would like to donate a few bob. She may have to donate some of this for a pair of shoes, because the misolite who went with her to the hospital, found himself penniless and had to walk home. ahhh
Our other hospital patient (after having his 5 minutes of fame on “the Blog”) is also home and was seen pottering about in his circle. Hooray, more good news.
Ben is settling in well with his foster mum…….he seems very happy, not so sure about mummy.
We have had a few honorary Misolites staying on the site, they have really enjoyed themselves, but yesterday - whether addled by the sun, or addled by the beer they set off for the airport a day early!!!!. The worse thing was they actually queued up with the hoi-polloi and got as far as the check-in desk before they discovered their mistake. A few hours later and a few euros poorer they returned to Mi-Sol. Ah well, another night on the booze.
“She who will be limping for a while” has a right-hand assistant, and luckily she stepped into the breach and ran the fun quiz on the terrace at about 7.30 pm. It wasn’t too cold, but I wouldn’t have wanted to sit there much longer.
This morning I was back in the office, the only thing noticeable was the lack of post. Whether this is the new sorting office or the new postal code we shall have to wait and see.
The bar owner made an appearance and stated he was still waiting for word from the Insurance Co.
I have had an email from Simon, I won’t print it all here, as I am trying to keep the blog light hearted , but this is one of his comments:
“ My perspective is that those willing to serve the community are our most valuable members, who have my affection and respect. You should value and respect each other for that reason alone. So please regard this as a "Banging of your heads together" You are all on the same side. We are all chasing the same rainbow, all be it from different directions, so please try and cut each other a bit of slack”
As Simon is always right, even when I think I am, I had better listen to what he says!!!!!
On that note, a bid you all a fond farewell
