Hi Misolites 01/01/2011
A Happy & Prosperous New Year to each and everyone of you......let's hope we can all work together in the coming year and make Mi-Sol Park a nicer place to be.......
Below are some photos of the house fire reported on the MisolPress Blog. Please, Please be careful, not that I think for one moment anyone on here would attempt to start a fire on purpose. (As if)
We (my friends..and yes, I have got some, contrary to some people's opinions) had a fantastic New Year's night, first at Shady's where Jackie and Tony put on a free buffet. We were lucky enough to get the last available space on a double table...(the people already on it, squeezed in, and the men stood at the bar) the atmosphere was brilliant and everyone was really enjoying themselves. We left there after the Spanish New Year and made our way back to Mi-Sol Bar. I miscalculated the time it would take me to make the journey (it really isn't that far )....but I digress, so The Husband and I had a quiet moment on the tarmac at midnight.
We heard the hullabaloo emanating from the Bar - paused the quiet moment and quickly made our way in. After another round of kissing and more kissing we got back to the serious business of drinking. The karaoke was in full swing and several of our party joined in. (Not me you will be pleased to know) The rest of the early morning revelry is but a blurred memory. I could make something up, but I am too tired.
Sooo, on to today....Started with breakfast being cooked by The Husband and a houseguest, another houseguest in charge of tea, coffee etc....and me overseeing all this work from the lounge. (I was getting in some practice for when I become President...it's called delegating!) (only joking, don't get all agitated) Anyhoo, back to breakfast, approximately 16 people turned up all wanting to be fed....it was hard but I managed somehow....hahahahaha
A mass exodus to Torrevieja Promenade and a saunter in the sun. We made it about a third of the way along before fatigue and coffee withdrawal symptoms set in. Refreshed and revived we strolled back to the car and back to Mi-Sol Park.
Clara's tenants, who started partying early on the 31st December were still at it when we got back around 4ish...They have kept a lot of residents from getting any sleep and when asked by one resident to turn the music down was told in no uncertain terms to clear off as it was "fiesta" and they could make as much noise as they wanted. As I have said before, Clara's tenants (who don't pay their bills) are very thoughtful, they put a lot of effort (Not) in trying to entertain the residents (who do pay their bills) so, it really isn't their fault when the Guardia and locals complain that the entertainment is not to their liking.
We sat and watched the soaps from last night and couldn't help noticing that a lot of the action in the "Woolpack", "The Queen Vic" and "The Rovers Return" mirror incidents and characters that we have seen (and been involved in) in our own, one and only Mi-Sol Bar. Now, whoever it is that is getting all their ideas from the Bar and its customers and then passing them on, must be getting a good bit of the "old green stuff" over there in Blighty.........(No, I don't mean grass, you donkey)
PLEASE, send some of it back to us so as we can get the Roads done, or maybe a new Transformer.......STOP being selfish and hand the money over to El Presidente.
This leads me to another topic. As our elected President is unwell and unable to continue with her duties, I suppose the oldest member of the committee will be taking over the top spot. All hail "Sh****gh" the oldest swinger in town.
Myself and P. A***er are both off on a cruise from the 6th January, I may post some updates concerning MY cruise, but I am not sure if I will have internet access or indeed access to any misdemeanour's perpetrated by the inhabitants of Mi-Sol...(Does that sound official and posh enough???)
Well, what is left of my brain is worn out now so I am off for some shut eye.
May love stick to your face like Vaseline and may laughter assault your lips!
More news in April (or maybe sooner)
xxxxx
