2010-03-21-The "Lady and the Man"

Hi Misolites,

Just much of the same old tales....of who did what?? and...is it true? That is for me to know and for you to decide.

A Misolite with a palm tree, decided it was all too much to bear....(especially on her own and at her age)..so, a cherry picker and operator were called in to deal with the tree....Rumour has it the operator has the very same name as the King (of Spain that is). I didn't see the tree go...I was safely tucked up in bed, but I certainly heard it. It woke me up and I wasn't best pleased, although it was 9.30 in the morning, I am used to peace and quiet at this end of the site.

THEN, as coincidence would have it another load of tree toppling noises fell upon my ears. (No pun intended) I had to go an investigate, and there was our intrepid gardener with his sidekick (the treasurer) lopping down the tree just outside the triangle at the bottom of the site. Apparently the roots of said tree were infringing onto the patio of a Misolite who preferred to keep her tiles rather than see roots poking through. The gardener is still at it today (Wednesday) I only hope he gets back to his normal duties asap as the park is looking decidely scruffy again......too many weeds and debris all over the place.

In the bar last night (Tuesday) a certain person not from Mi-Sol Park arrived with a visitor from the UK. When they first arrived the "lady" in question came bounding up to my friend, lifted her off the floor (and off her feet) and smacked a big kisseroo on her lips. Who was the most surprised, my friend or the rest of us?.... The male of the species is quite well known to most of the Mi-Sol regulars (darts players etc)..but not to all; the lady however was a different matter. Speculation was rife, who was she, why was she in the bar, how did my friend know her? Okay, okay we are all a bunch of losers with nothing else to do!!! Just for that, I am not going to tell you who she was. ha!

As it was darts night and sandwiches were to be supplied, our first lady of the bar obliging went into the kitchen and duly returned with a few trays of sandwiches....Now, guess who was first up for a sandwich, Nooo, not the person you are thinking of, he was under restraint, now guess again, yep, you got it, it was the "lady"..... "Well, I don't know" said our first lady to no-one in particular, "she's not even playing darts". "Don't worry" a little voice piped up, "I will go and have a word"..So little voice (who had had quite a bit to drink) wandered down the bar to where "lady and the man" were sitting. In her best posh voice, little voice said " I am so sorry to have to inform you, but the sandwiches are only for dart players." There was one of those thar silences, you could have heard a pin drop. "OK," said the "lady", "give me an arrow." Into this deathly hush little voice spoke thus "Where would you like it?... between the eyes?" The deathly hush got even more hushier......and then.....and then.....EVERYONE started laughing (with relief) I think, the Mi-Sol Bar was safe again. Damage limitation had kicked in. Everyone knew what they had to do!!!!

I see the minutes are on the main blog now. I have got a few things to say about the minutes, but I will keep that for another time.

The lady living with her daughter and a couple of dogs, has moved from Mi-Sol Park to Quesada to be nearer her sons. This can only be a good thing.

Two people have managed to sell on the road leading to the bar, everyone who knew them will be very sad to see them go. Let's hope they come back to visit in the next few years. Good Luck to you both in your new holiday destinations.

The resident "rodder" has got himself a new car. I only hope this car survives longer than his last one did. Watch out Torrevieja....the rodder is back on the road.

Happy birthday to Roxy Rose for last Wednesday, hope you had a brilliant day.

As I've Matured...
I've learned that one good turn gets most of the blankets.

Be kind to each other,
adios
xxxxxx
