2010-01-18-Death of Sr. Quesada--January 2010President Staying

Hi Misolites, 2010-01-12

As you will have seen, (via the Misolpress Blog or from the minutes posted in the office) our president has changed her mind about taking a "leave of absence".

Whether an EGM is still going to be called is an unknown fact at the moment. No-one has commented about this and the committee have not given out any information. (To us serfs.) I was under the impression that the committee meetings had been changed to a Saturday so that the Spanish members of the community could attend. As the last committee meeting was held in the office without anyone (except the committee) being informed and we have now been informed that all future meetings will be in the office, this seems to have been a non starter from the beginning.

The office has been closed more often than not during the last week, no reasons have been forthcoming.

Our longest serving committee member is ill in bed at the moment which is why the office is not open today (Monday). I would have thought that cover could have been arranged within the committee.

There aren't any major (or minor) events to tell you about.
The gardener has made the area outside plot 58 at the top look very nice. It just needs stones etc now to stop the weeds reappearing.

It has been too cold for me to go walking around Mi-Sol looking for gossip (especially since I thought I could dance and was proved wrong) someone nicked my walking stick whilst I was shopping at Tescos ...the low life....so I am managing with a great wooden stick at the moment.

A few of us have started back at the fitness studio situated above St.James's Gate. I don't know whether it is doing me any good or not. No pain, no gain ain't that what they say??

Nearly forgot, several Misolites have been stranded over here (ahhh, shame, I hear you say) due to the bad weather over in the UK. They have made the most of this terrible hardship and I am sure we will all breathe a big sigh of relief when it is over.

Plot 201 has changed hands so there are some new Spanish owners
(Names unknown). They have painted the area and made it look nicer than before.

Clara's clampetts are still collecting rubbish in shopping trolleys and leaving it strewn round and about the flats area. Nothing new there then.

It's pouring with rain today (Tuesday) but not as cold as it has been.

The Olive Grove has changed hands and the food is fantastic...I had chicken stuffed with mushrooms, wrapped in bacon and covered with cheese sauce......absolutely lovely...

I have completely run out of things to say....soooooo......adios for now, will write some more when I get any new info for you.

Quote For The Day "Remember, lawyers seldom say, "Forget it. You don't have a good case"."

Adios mis amigos
xx
