2008-10-29-Back from my travels

Well Misolites,

I feel as if I have been away forever…….I haven’t really, it just seems like it. In July I had my grandchildren over for part of their summer holidays…..so it was all washing and feeding (them not me) and by the time they had settled down, I was too knackered to do anything else.

Regarding Mi-Sol Park I think that was the time when everyone was wondering if the pool would open or not, and as we are now in October and it is open that is another of life’s little mysteries solved.

When I went back to England with the children, I stayed until October 11th as I had several family celebrations to attend (life becomes sooo hard as you get older). Firstly my eldest grandson turned 18 years of age, and of course you cannot let a date like that pass by without a comment or two. Unfortunately it took me nearly a week to get over all the “comments” I received. Then, my granddaughter gave birth to a beautiful baby boy “Dylan”. So of course several more comments were made regarding the state his health, beauty size and so on.. So another week was spent remembering all these comments and wondering if I would ever speak again. But here I am, so all it not lost.

On the Mi-Sol front the AGM was held and everything remained much the same. I expect you get all the news you need on that front from Neill’s blog. When I returned to Spain from England, Derek and I with a group of friends went on holiday…A trip down the Nile…it was excellent. We all really enjoyed it. On arriving back to Mi-Sol Park everyone remarked on how clean and tidy the park was looking. After the mess of Egypt a rubbish tip would look quite appealing,….well maybe not!!! The self employed contractors seem to be doing a really good job, the park really does look a lot cleaner and tidier than of late. All we need now is to get more spraying done to keep the mosquitoes down.. Hopefully with everyone doing a bit here and there the park will get better and better.

The weather is a bit changeable at the moment, raining one minute and sunny the next. It seems Mi-Sol politics are also a-changing, Neill (the present president) has decided to resign due to pressure of work and Mo Taunton is willing to put herself forward as a candidate for the presidency. So far I have not heard of anyone else willing to stand. There is a tremendous amount of work involved in the presidency which a lot of people don’t seem to understand. You do need a candidate who not only lives on site in order to be available day and night!!! but who also has a working knowledge of how a business should be run. Hopefully with the backing that Mo is receiving everything should come up roses……and if it doesn’t at least we have all done our best for the future of Mi-Sol Park.

Now, I know all you Misolites are dedicated followers of fashion……sooooo, this is for the men. We women expect you to take notice and not show us up around the swimming pool next summer.

So, that's all folks, will try and keep the blog going on a more regular basis, don't forget if you have any news....it doesn't have to be true....this is Mi-Sol after all....please drop me a line. xxxxxxxxx
