2008-06-29-Having a Good Time

Hi Misolites, 2008-06-29

Friends of mine from Campello arrived today for a short visit. They have just returned from a 5 week tour of America.....Lucky things....They couldn't decide which was the best of the best, but The Grand Canyon and the shows at Las Vegas were in strong competition. We all went to Player Flamingo and had lunch at the Thai place, I can never remember it's name....something kitchen....anyway the food was fantastic, not quite as good as American food which is awesome, but good. There was a lovely breeze with it being on the 2nd floor of the complex. We left there and went for coffee at the Nautilus on the sea front at Punta Prima---bliss. We idled away the afternoon chatting until it was time for them to return home.

We have had more new arrivals on Mi-Sol Park today, Funny, because the weather here is much the same--Sunny. Maybe the weather in the UK has deteriorated again so people are thinking "Emmm where shall I go? I know, Mi-Sol Park." and before you can say Jack Robinson they have set their sights on plane tickets and sprung into action.. Hooray!!!! Because we just love it when new people from the "outside" world arrive. Sometimes it seems as if we are completely isolated here. Alone with the sun, cold beer and good company. Are there really places in the world where it just rains all the time?

One set of new arrivals are friends of "The Noisy Neighbours"..oh-o oh-o I hear you say, well I said to my other half, if they start I won't be held responsible. Its one thing when it is likkle children, but these are GROWN UP'S and should know better. They have already warned me that The Football (Spain v Germany) is on tonight and we should be expecting fireworks, cheering and stamping etc. I said what about my evening nap? Tough was the reply....What can you do with such philistines?

The Marina Bar was excellent today; a group of us went for the swimming--gorgeous--cool water never felt so good. We stayed lazing about in the pool until our lunch was ready at 2.30. The staff at the Marina Bar cannot do enough for their customers. The food was delicious, the beer was cold the atmosphere was hot, and the service was excellent, when we worked out the bill it came to 13 Euros per head.----So I think we will definitely be going again.

Another quiz night, and another set of questions, where and how these questions are found by “she who had the limp” is beyond me, obscure is no where near close enough to describe the nature of the beasts, anyway I won a bottle of white wine, so will be ready for Tuesday afternoon when a Misolite is doing a demonstration of a product called Nu-Skin, I think it is some sort of machine (and no it is not a steam iron....cheek) for reducing wrinkles.....will let you know the results when we get to see it and maybe even use it.

Make sure you check out Neill's Blog as there is information regarding the pool there.

May you all enjoy the traveling as much as you enjoy your arrivals
